As electric vehicle adoption continues to grow in the Philippines, the VinFast Limo Green is finding a niche among drivers looking for a vehicle that can handle both family transportation and income-generating ride-hailing work.
Designed as a seven-seat electric MPV, the Limo Green combines long driving range, low operating costs, and passenger-friendly comfort, making it an attractive option for TNVS operators and private owners alike.
A practical two-in-one vehicle
For Quezon-based ride-hailing driver Paul Simbulan, the Limo Green has become both a family vehicle and a daily workhorse. Before switching to an EV, he favored gasoline-powered MPVs for family outings, but repeated experiences riding in Green SM units convinced him to consider electric mobility.
After months of ownership, Simbulan said the vehicle’s spacious cabin, quiet ride, and flexible seven-seat layout have allowed it to serve multiple roles effectively. Whether transporting family members or accommodating airport transfers and group bookings, the Limo Green offers the space and comfort expected from a modern MPV.
Built for everyday operations
The Limo Green offers a driving range of up to 450 kilometers on a full charge, giving drivers the flexibility to complete multiple trips throughout the day. Fast-charging capability allows the battery to recharge in approximately 30 minutes, helping minimize downtime between bookings.
Power comes from an electric drivetrain producing 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque, delivering smooth acceleration and responsive performance in urban traffic conditions.
Lower operating costs
Beyond performance and practicality, one of the strongest selling points of the Limo Green is its operating efficiency. Compared with traditional gasoline-powered MPVs, charging costs are significantly lower, helping drivers retain more of their earnings.
VinFast also continues to support EV adoption by offering free charging at V-Green charging stations in Southeast Asia through March 2029, including for commercial users. For high-mileage drivers, the savings can represent a substantial reduction in overall operating expenses over several years.
Real-world EV confidence
Stories from existing VinFast owners continue to reinforce confidence in electric mobility. One VinFast owner recently shared an extensive Luzon road trip covering nearly 2,900 kilometers across multiple destinations including Batangas, Quezon, Naga, Caramoan, Pangasinan, and Baguio. Despite the distance traveled, charging expenses totaled only about PHP1,900.
Experiences like these are helping demonstrate the practicality of EV ownership beyond urban commuting, particularly as charging infrastructure continues to expand.
Lowering the barrier to EV adoption
To make electric mobility more accessible, VinFast recently introduced its Green vehicle rental program in the Philippines and Indonesia. Through participating dealerships, customers can rent vehicles from the Green lineup rather than purchase them outright.
Daily rental rates start at PHP1,000 in the Philippines, creating a lower-cost entry point for aspiring ride-hailing drivers and entrepreneurs. The program is designed to help drivers begin generating income without the larger upfront investment typically associated with vehicle ownership.
The Limo Green remains a central part of this initiative, reflecting its growing popularity as a purpose-built vehicle for passenger transport and high-frequency mobility services.
